Like many great ideas, it started with a dream - a dream that John Ayoub had to bring the very best quality coffee and coffee drinks into the heart of Sydney so that his customers could enjoy a top quality coffee beverage without having to travel to the fashionable parts of Sydney.

In 2002 John bought a small coffee shop at Bankstown known as The Coffee Emporium. The original store had opened in 1991and when John bought the business it was a “little run down”.

But despite setbacks and frustrations he never wavered from his dream and over time he built a very loyal and discerning base of customers. His business grew and grew and earned a great reputation among coffee lovers far and wide.

And as his small business grew so too did his dream of bring top quality coffee to an ever growing base of coffee lovers.
